Bent Spoons

Blending country and indie into newfangled sounds worthy of heavy rotation, Bent Spoons defies industry norms by taking washboard sounds and dulcimer reverb with sousaphone melodies and steel guitar jams. Erin Wright, Mike Toole, Ben Frange, Alex Barbour, Sarah Ten, and Splinter all bring Bent Spoons to life using only vintage instruments, analog recording equipment, and layered, 16-track reel-to-reel Tascam built symphonies of craftsmanship. Chimera Records® A&R team discovered Bent Spoons playing in a restored truck stop off State Highway 7 near Lawton in Oklahoma where a devoted following were often present for their extraordinary sets of music and their transmedia displays of ironic taxidermy.

At first listen you'll think Queen-meets-Dead Kennedys, but after multiple listens you'll start to get a fresh perspective on the new music scene. These glam punks are gifted! Their freshman full length album, 11 Herbs and Spices, is going to take Unripe Fruit places.

fresh new batteries were discovered in Omaha, Nebraska, a hive of new music on the scene. Front man Benny Nevis leads this eclectric trio through a frenetic set of misanthropic, slammable sounds. Chimera® is excited to drop their first EP Rustlovers Wonderland this month.
